These are the performance teams that will be visiting Mt. Olymprov 2020 this June to take the stage and perform miracles.
We have some of the top performers of the world from Canada, Colombia, USA, Poland, UK, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, and, of course, Greece.
Game of Death - Jacob Banigan
Taking inspiration from the audience and a deck of fortune-telling cards, Jacob Banigan evokes exotic settings, embodies diverse characters and hurtles through intriguing stories. But he is not totally in control; there are twists he cannot predict, elements are controlled by the audience, and the Egg Timer Of Death is always ticking...
You are invited to Denise's 50th; an improv show where the audience chooses the soundtrack to the night, and then watches the night unfold before them. Intrigue, lies, awkward silences and brazen flirting are commonplace in a show that, over the course of forty-five minutes, will give you an insight into what it's really like to be Denise.
Improvised Twilight Zone - But of Mind
But of Mind is a classic American psychological horror, such as seen in vintage 1960s television shows The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
Lovers & Madmen
Allow us two, on your imaginary forces play! In scenes improvis'ed upon the world modern in the parlance and comportment of the immortal Bard. O! The world of Shakespeare thrust within our contemporary nature doth exhibit its eternal relevance!
Magical Tour - By Omar Galvan
Magic realism on stage. The Magic Tour hopes to take you away. Looking at the train, your eyes will travel.
Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, by Ad Hoc
If Stanislavsky met Viola Spolin in a dark alley behind the bar and started an improvised knife fight, only to be interrupted by Chekhov wielding a gun - you’d get something close to the first part of the first act of “Ad Hoc”. If you are the audience member who has no idea who any of those people are, but have walked in on this strange anachronistic fight scene, don't worry - that's the final act of "Ad Hoc.".
Improv Big Band Sound painting - By Omar Galvan
“Improv Big Band" is an ensemble that unites multiple disciplines. An orchestra that is not restricted to music, alone, and is also enabled to soundscape, to talk, to perform theatrical scenes, dances, poems, songs, and more. A true scenic coral piece directed and conducted by outstanding Argentinian artist, Omar Galvan. All of this is achieved seamlessly, even though improvised, through an adaptation of "Soundpainting"; a sign language designed for musical conductors by Walter Thompson. Omar Galvan has reimagined this system for improvised theater, with memorable productions in Mexico, Spain, Vienna, Puerto Rico, Karlsruhe, Reunion Island, Canberra...
Spotlight - SANS
Four scenes start, only one finishes! SANS want YOU to decide which of the scenes to evolve and which to eliminate until only one stays in the Spotlight!
What is the significance of the objects which fill our lives? A channel for inspiration, an outlet for anger, a storage place for memories…
Improvised Tarantino - Easylaughs
Easylaughs brings Tarantino’s iconic style to the improvised stage. Gangsters and goons, petty criminals and small-time thieves, hustlers, grifters, cowboys and cops. And blood. Lots and lots of blood. An improvised theatrical experience not suitable for children.
Pilot Project - Super Constellations
An exploration of travel- from the storied to the personal, we venture out, far from home, and back again. Inspired by Alain de Botton’s The Art of Travel we explore the transitory spaces, adventure-seeking, hunting for the exotic and excessive and absurd sublime.
Lava Lamp - by Órla Mc Govern
At the centre is the light and as one we begin. Moods and memories form and fade. From these connections the stories rise...
That's Crazy - Mixed Cast
Each player has their own unique style of impro. One true, crazy story provided by someone in the audience serves as the inspiration, and the players dive into each other's impro genre. How many ways can you tell the same story?
Lingua Libertas - WymmyWammy
Lingua libertas is a performance in which words do not count, but music is important. A performance that breaks language limits and shows that art is an universal language and connects different cultures. Art expressed through emotions, sounds, gestures, movements.
Our Best Behavior - By Daniel Orrantia
This show challenges the way we normally behave and react in different situations, looking to create a new universe where the absurd and the sublime are part of everyday life. We look for stories about seemingly ridiculous scenarios but also ones which make us think about our learned behaviours. A risky and spontaneous performance that aims to push the actors into surprising and challenging each other as well as the audience.
The Bohemian Tragedy - Us Boys Who Go Out Together
Us Boys Who Go Out Together are a mix of actors and performers with various backgrounds, ranging from classical drama theatre, dance, circus and physical theatre. With the main purpose of exploring essentially total and utter free theatre improvisation without any structures ahead given, they concentrate on physicality and movement as their main form of expression. They search and keep learning their own language, consisting of dark czech humor, movement, improv and an exquisitely bad taste in folklore singing.
TICKETS ON SALE MARCH 1ST!
(Every night the shows start at 8.30pm and take place at the Amphitheater of Technopolis, in Gazi.)
